Logitech g510 @ key not working need help desperate please!! :(

i just built my gaming pc today it has windows 8, i just downloaded latest logitech g510 software, but when i try to do the @ sign it comes up as 2 speach mark things, all the other keys and symbols work fine like $%^%$() but its just the @ key, i can only do it now coz im on a laptop, help would be greatly appreciated!
