Question Logitech G602 mouse not working properly after changing switch

I changed the left button switch. After reassembly the mouse pointer does not move when I use it on a flat surface. It moves ok when I move it on my pants or skin.
What is the issue?

My thought is that the laser (emitter) is now off centered and angled one way or another. Or perhaps the photocell sensor.

Thus the mouse only works on a curved surface that, in turn, is able to reflect back into the photocell sensor.

You may need a do over to realign things.

Also be sure that you clean out any dust or debris that may have gotten in.
