Can this be done? I would prefer a PS2 controller but due to excuse "x" I would like to set up my logitech gamepad to my playstation 2. I see plenty of articles on playstation 2 controllers to pc, but when looking it up it's almost as if nobody has ever asked the reverse on google, as there isnt one single article on it or even acceptance on googles part that I asked that question.

TL;DR: Would a male dualshock 2, to usb AND a female to male usb adapter (as thats all i can find) work in making a usb controller work on PS2?

Solution
You cannot reverse Gamepad -> PS2 usb cause PS2 doesnt have enough ram to keep it there.
There are literally cheap/used PS2 joysticks that can be bought under 10-20$ or even cheaper.
Its cheaper to buy rather than make.

If you heard of PS2 Scene or similar sites that provide homebrew software if the forums are still alive you can search for old threads and you're gonna get answers there.

That's precisely the kind of answer I was looking for, nowhere would give me a straight answer so I thank you for that. I'll likely buy a new controller, but it if worked out differently it woulda helped with a few different scenarios. Thank you though!
