Question Logitech X56 weight modding

Hi!

In the quest for The Perfect Setup, I'm currently struggling a bit with placement of my HOTAS. Had 'em bolted through the desk before, but want to be able to swap between hotas mode and K&M mode quickly. So, I figured, maybe if I added a lot of weight at the hotas bases, that would remove the need for bolts and keep them in place. So, does anyone have any tips? Or should I refrain from opening up the bases all together, and try and mount something under/on them instead?

Not quite sure if this is the right place to be asking for sim rig questions, you might want to check out those forums in particular but some people go the extra step to create a mounting plate to drill the base to it with a swivel so you can move it out of the way when you need to. Some people have even molded fiberglass prototypes to seat the hotas controller on it and remove it when needed, I'm sure you can find more helpful information in those forums, Good luck!
