Hey so a few years ago I bought the Z333 speakers, but I havent used them for quite a while, I tried plugging them back in, it powers up fine, there is a green light from the controller so I know it has power, I plug the 3.5mm jack into the jack on the front of my PC, I get a pop up saying that a cable has been plugged in, but in device manager, sound console, and the select playback device panel, it doesnt show up at all. I would appreciate any help I can get, and I can provide more information if need be.

EDIT: I tried plugging the 3.5mm jack into the jack on my monitor, and I managed to get it to work if I changed my playback device to my monitor. There is a new issue now where both speakers work, but only in the right RCA port, the left one isnt working at all, so that is just a faulty port im guessing. Now I know that the speakers (kind of) work, its still a bit confusing because it doesnt work on my pc jacks.

Sounds like you used the proper port (page 22 of manual). The red one would be the one for a 2.1 config (like your Z333s).

Other than making sure all connections on the speakers are tight/fully connected, there isn't much else to check.

Do you have a laptop or smart phone with a speaker jack that you can test the speakers with?

I tried using the jack on my ipad and it worked fine. I tried on my monitor and it worked fine also, so what ive gathered on my pc its if the device already has an output device option, e.g my monitor already has an output option as it has speakers built in. It just wont show up if i plug it into my computer.

In Control Panel/Sound/Playback you should be able to change the default playback device to the Z333s if attached and working properly.

You don't connect the Z333 to your monitor. You attach directly to the PC (as discussed earlier in the thread).

That has been my issue as said previously, it does not show up anywhere on my computer that it is connected, yet it is.

The monitor statement was just to back up that the speakers arent faulty and are working.

If that is the case would the option in this screenshot be my Z333? Also if it is, its always said not plugged in.
