So, I got the Logitech z506 5.1 speakers yesterday, got them all set up and everything, only to find out that the front right and left speakers are completely distorting any audio played through them. I plugged the green cable into my phone just to see if the speakers are busted, and it plays audio through them beautifully, so the speakers are not broken, I do not think. I uninstalled the Realtek HD Audio drivers and the Sound Blaster Cinema 2 drivers that I need that came with my motherboard, which is an MSI z97 gaming 5, then reinstalled them, with no luck.. Still distorted audio. I've been looking everywhere for answers, but I couldn't find anyone with my exact problem, so I decided to ask around in hope that I could get a solution.

Please help, anyone.

Also, not sure if this is the right place for this thread, if not, please move to where it would be more appropriate. Thank you!

Are you sure your BIOS is up to date? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the audio device drivers multiple times? It sounds like you're on an installation of Windows 10. Go into Device Manager and see if any device is flagged with a yellow exclamation mark. The issue will be with your drivers that come primarily from MSI or from Realtek but for good measure download the drivers found off them both while the issue is your Realtek and not Creative's Cinema 2 software suite. An FYI is that the latter is just an add-on software based amplification application so any issues you're having is with the device(Realtek audio chip) not being able to communicate with the OS via the drivers.

Can you please pass on your full systems specs alongside your audio equipment+OS?

I figured it out and everything is working now. I simply plugged the cable into the line in port instead of the line out and it started working. Still doesn't really make sense to me, but it's working, so whatever.
