Lokal disk (E:) almost full, but no files

Recently there was a windows 10 update for my pc, no idea if this is the cause, just letting you know. So i have a SSD and HDD in my pc, but recently a new local disk appeared in my 'Devices and drives' settings. I says the disk is running low on space (44MB free of 449MB). When I open this drive, it says that the folder is empty (checkbox for hidden items is checked). So i have no acces of the files but when i scan the drive with my antivirus, i can see the last scanned object is e:\system volume information\WPSetting.dat. If someone can tell me why a 450Mb folder popped up all of a sudden, and if i can delete it, i would really appreciate it.

Sounds like the 500 MB boot partition. Go into disk management and right click on it and change drive letter. Then remove it. Won't hurt anything.

I'm unable to change the drive letter. The only option it gives me when rightclicking the drive in disk management is 'help'. any other suggestions?

Not a "virus" or a "drive", but rather a System partition that has mistakenly been given a drive letter.
