Long Beep When Playing Games

Hello everyone!

I am having problems with my computer build. It's a few months old and runs excellently, however I am having one problem. Whenever I play a game for example Watch_Dogs or Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor I get a high pitched beep emitting from my computer's case speaker. The game still runs fine without any problems.This happens when I run my processor at 100% speed and it only goes away if I switch out to the desktop. However once I go back into the game the beeping starts again after a few minutes sometimes even a few seconds.

I used to have a different motherboard and processor before I used an AMD FX-8350 and I also had this problem.

Nothing seems to be overheating and that was my first thought. All temperatures are at safe levels so I don't think that's it. The only way I can get around this problem is to lower my CPU speed to 95%.

It's very aggravating and I would like to use 100% of my CPU.

I've tried several things including upgrading my PSU. I haven't had much luck and I'm still running my processor at 95%. I hope someone can help please and I appreciate the help!

8GB RAM
EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 TI 2GB Video Memory
Two 1TB Hard Drives

Check to see if your mother board or graphics card came with any software to monitor temperatures. For example, my board came with a software and i can manually set a temperature at which my system will beep notifying me that my system is at a certain temperature. Check to make sure this is not happening with yours. It may not be over heating, but it could be that the software is notifying you that the system has reached the temperature that was set.

Well, besides the temperature monitors in the BIOS, I don't think my motherboard came with any temperature monitoring software. I'll take another look at the driver installation disk that came with my motherboard to see if I may have missed something, but other than that I don't think it came with anything. My graphics card on the other hand didn't come with any software. I had to download the driver from NVIDIA's website and install GeForce Experiance along with it. I don't think GeForce Experience has something to monitor temp. does it? I can check my graphics card temp. on Linux though. The NVIDIA driver I use on Xubuntu does let me know what the temperature is. It's usually around 30-37 C which matches CPUID temperatures on Windows whenever the beeping occurs. Sometimes when I lower CPU speed to play a game without the beeping, I'll check my temperatures and my GPU has gone up to 50 C without beeping.
