Long Boot Time Due to Keyboard

When my PC is booting, it freezes where it says "Press F12 to enter..." until my keyboard receives power (I know this because my keyboard has a backlight, then shortly after it moves on). This never took any longer than a second but now it can take upwards of a minute just for they keyboard to get power. I have an ASUS Maximus VII Hero with the latest bios version which I updated to hoping it would fix the issue. I'm running Windows 10 which I just fresh installed. If you need more info I would be glad to give it. Thanks in advance

what keyboard ? Does your keyboard have a newer bios to flash?
