Question Long delay when typing

I have a logitech K800 wireless keyboard from back around 2017. Lately I have noticed that when I click my mouse cursor in a box to type something nothing happens when I start typing. There is a really long delay before anything I typed shows up. I am on Windows 10 pro with the most recent Window's updates installed. The battery is fully charged in the keyboard. I am running Windows defender and also scanned with Malwarebytes . Not sure what to make of this.

Can you boot into safe mode, which is a very limited bootup of windows with just basic drivers and services. See if it lags in various programs and windows to narrow down hardware/software problem.
