Question Long idle on Win10 causes screen saver lock and hard drive churn.

I have a Windows 10 computer (Walmart Acer) only because my bank won't let me access my account from Win XP anymore.
I sometimes only touch the mouse or keyboard every 3 days (at the most-often), sometimes longer.
When I then need to use the computer, I'll find the screen saver swirling away and the hard drive light on solid. If I press the
escape key and return after a few hours, I might find a screen with a mouse pointer icon on it, but nothing will respond immediately.
It requires a hard shut down with the power button.
Any suggestions on how to trace this?
