I'm looking for some advice here or product recommendations. Here is my situation. I live on a farm and we have wifi in the house. And I would like our whole cattle corals to have wifi access for a project I am working on. For simplicity let's say this are is a circle. The beginning of this circle is 200 ft from the house and fares point is a quarter mile from the house. We have a barn that could possibly act as a bridge point. Running 802.11 b/g/n with wpa2 personal. Any recommendations would be nice and any piece of knowledge is welcomed.

I would recommend that you get direct burial ethernet cable and bury cable between buildings as much as possible. In each barn get an outdoor WIFI access point.

If you already have conduit with any other low voltage wiring, you could run ethernet in the same conduit.

The standard length limit for copper is 100m. BUT as long as you don't have more than 100m between buildings you should be good.

Sometimes the best answer for long distance WIFI is cable :)
