Longevity for GTX 1060

Hi guys, I'm going to buy a new gaming pc soon but i wanna ask you about the longevity of my new build especially the GTX 1060 6GB:

My build:
GTX 1060 6GB
Core i5-8400
RAM 16GB ddr4 2400 or 2666
Motherboard: B360

Well let's take the 1060 and i5 8400 as a guide, well can it support games for 5 years in average?

OF COURSE i know i will not be able to play games at ultra settings for 5 years but lets consider just high settings at 1080p 60FPS ... can it last for 5 years?

Note that we have 5 degrees of quality (low-medium-high-very high-ultra)

These questions are impossible to answer. It can be either a yes or a no.

Most likely yes because the cpu getting on the market are improving so little each refresh (for gaming)and cpu manufacturer are having trouble with 10 nm tech. This is why a 5 to 7 year old i5 can still game decently nowadays (depends games, gpu ect.)

Thanks for your reply, so your answer was about the cpu, now what about the current gpu ( GTX 1060 6GB) ? can it last games for 5 years at high settings 1080p 60FPS ?

should not be a problem for 1080p gaming ..
