Question Look at these laptop keyboard connectors

Laptop: Toshiba Satellite S75-B series

How are you supposed to disconnect/reconnect them?
I thought it was a simple ZIF flip-up type thing, but that inner black part doesn't seem to want to flip up.
I ended up pulling it out, though I still need to know how to put the replacement's connectors in properly.

They are compression style connectors. They slide out, to loosen the tension in the connector, you slide the ribbon cable in and make sure it's fully inserted into the connector. Then you slide the white retention mechanism back into the connector to cause the ribbon cable to fit snuggly.

A pair of very fine tipped tweezers will help with the sliding the white retention clip out(not entirely out of the connector/jacket, mind you).
