Hi mates,
I bought my Core i7 Q965 Extreme Engineering Sample with my Gigabyte GA-X58-Extreme. I found my X58 chipset always with 68 degree celsius no matter I use 920 stock cooler for my Q965 ES or a good after market CPU cooler; this temperature is really too hot for me to logn run my computer.
I have a cat so I won't able to use water cooling for my system. I would like to see any suggestion for me to buy a North Bridge Cooler.
My system:
CPU: Core i7 Q965 Extreme ES
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-EX58-Extreme (BIOS: F4m)
RAM: G Skill 3-channel pack 1GB x 3 (2000Mhz) / OCZ 3-Channel pack gold series 2GBx3 (1600Mhz)
Cooler: Intel Core i7 920 Stock cooler / Thermalright Ultra-120 extreme 1366RT
PSU: Silverstone 1200W
Display: HIS HD4870x2 2GB GDDR5 and Powercolor HD4870 512MB GDDR5
Raid1: Adaptec 5405 with OCA 64GB SSD x 2 RAID 0
Raid2: Onboard ICH10R with Seagates 1.5TB x 2 RAID 0
Raid3: LSI Raid controller (will be added after New year) 15K SAS x 4 Raid 0
Other: Seagates 500GB ES.2 x 2
Appreciate to see if any suggestion.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Andy
