hello i think i have a good compilation to use CAD and Matlab properly But can you look over it again and give some tips?
It is my first PC I am building. Before laptop user

I'm not so sure about the GPU. NVIDIA CUDA should probably run Matlab. Preferably with the QUADRO cards, but I think this is too much. Is it worthwhile to spend more money somewhere (big leap in performance)

Thanks

Solution
Thanks but i think for inventor i need a high coreclock because it cant calculate parallel on multicore.
System requirements for Inventor 2021 are 4 or more cores at 3.0GHz+ https://knowledge.autodesk.com/supp...-requirements-for-Autodesk-Inventor-2021.html Inventor 2020 has the same system requirements. One thing to remember is that clock speed isn't everything. While the 10600k has a higher boost clock speed, that doesn't mean it will have better single threaded performance than the 3700X. The reason is Zen 2 based CPUs have about 10% higher IPC than Sky Lake derived Core CPUs, that means that on average a Core CPU will need to clock 10% higher to equal the...

If you want to keep the 10600K you will need a much larger CPU cooler. The TDP of the CPU is 125W with a max draw of 182W. However, the Pure Rock 2 is only a 150W TDP cooler.

You changed the motherboard because of the different socket, right?
thanks i hadn't paid any attention to tdp before. it was just another unknown worth.
I couldn't figure out where the 182W came from.

Is that a hard & fast truth, no, but on average it works out that way. Overall the Single Threaded performance between the 3700X & 10600k will be a wash, but if something is multi-core the 3700X will generally be faster.

thank you so much for that information, I didn't even know that. Until now I tried to compare benchmarks but couldn't find a site that provides them for Inventor or Matlab.
