Hello fellas.

I am getting back into building a new pc and boy have things changed! I am extremely excited to kick the consoles to the curb again! I deeply miss my naga and keyboard!

This is what I'll be purchasing in the next 2 or so days. Strictly gaming. WoW, LoL, DayZ , steam games, and did I mention WoW? A lot of WoW. major game titles etc etc. would this qualify to run those games on high settings with a steady good FPS in raids, loaded servers. Unfortunately the wife has put me on a budget so I may or may not be able to add to the budget of $1100. Cap for me
Hopefully I picked some decent~good stuff to start r back up!

With your budget I'd go ahead an go Skylake, the build you have looks good though I won't do client builds on MSI mobos due to their poor QC, I stick with Asus, the Rock and GB - maybe the Asus Z97-A

Thanks for the feedback fellas. I really appreciate the positive feedback! I am really excited to get this build going and back in the chair.

I usually do go with Asus over MSI and that confirms to just stick with the good ol trusty Asus.
Ill definitely switch it out for the Asus board. However i do attend to OC on down the road so i picked up the 212 EVO.
And ill also update it to the i5-6600k! I really just need enough SSD to store my OS on which should be enough surely, It would also save me some in the pocket switching it up to the 128gb. I really like that build and it rings in on my budget. I was debating the case you posted because i liked the white NZXT S340 i initially posted, but i seen somewhere that i would need to USB my OS onto it, So the corsair 200R is really starting to grow on me.

To confirm the build above posted by VR PC-BUILD, That will run most of the games i throw at it with a reliable FPS in High~ish graphics. Of course once i OC the CPU as well for that extra whoosh.

I went ahead and purchased it last night! This is the build i went with majority after small tweak.
I appreciate all the feedback and help in getting this together. I have high hopes this build will work for the time being!

Final conclusion -
I added a samsung 850 EVO 120gb (reasons, i owned samsung ssds before and loved it)
Went ahead with the ASUS Z170-A ATX DDR4
I do really appreciate y'all bringing up the i5-6600k, few bucks more for an upgrade
I stuck with EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB SSC Gaming ACX 2.0+. (reasons impatient till launch of gtx1070)
Maybe ill pass the gtx 970 to the wife and definitely pick the 1070 up on down the road.
It seemed i got everything straightened and figured out faster than expected so i pulled the trigger sooner! With your fellas help of course.

I was really going to go with the Corsair 200R but at the final minute i seen a Black NZXT S340 Mid Tower Case CA-S340W-B1 and just feel to my knees.. lol. I guess i'll just have to jury-rig a way to get windows 10 onto it with no optical drive bay. Perhaps i can still hook up the drive? Sit the disk drive steady on the table next to the pc or something.

Much appreciated guys! Now to wait for it to all show up on the front step. The waiting game begins.

There are 4 x Chassis Fan connectors on the motherboard. Your case doesn't come with intake fans, which you'll need to bring in fresh air into the case.

I recommend you pick up two of these 140mm fans, they have great static pressure and the white led rings look great:

You can download a Win10 ISO from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
once you got the ISO all you need to do is use Rufus ( https://rufus.akeo.ie/?locale=en_US ) to create a bootable USB with the ISO and BAM you're good to go buddy.

Keep in mind you will stil need an activation key

Should i replace the rear 120m fan as well? Just for look factor to match the front, id be willing to pay the extra for that alone. Unless the stock ones are better ill just keep it in the case. You're welcome. I believe the rear stock fan is only 1,200 rpm so this would be an upgrade. Here's the 120mm version:
