Looking at 3 monitors

Hi. I have a custom built system. In fact it's a server that I made into a desktop. I don't do games no it. Mostly web and word processing. I want to expand my monitors to 3. My first video card was a GeForce 210 1Gb. I found it only supports 2 monitors. I found a Radion R7 240 4gb card on clearance and bought it assuming it would work. But nope. Couldn't get it to run more that 1 at a time. So, what are my options?

Intel Core i3 3.5GHz
16 Gb DDR3-1866 ECC UDIMM

A GTX 1050 should be able to run 3 monitors.
