So I am looking for new GPU I was thinking for getting the 3070/3080 but and I was doing some research and talked to a couple of friends who know a lot about computers. And one of them said that my pc might not be powerful enough to run the 3080. However the other 1 said it was. So I just wanted to ask here on peoples opinion to see if my spec can run a 3070/3080.

Specs are Here:
CPU: i7 8700K 3.7GHz
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR4 3000MHz
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8GB GDDR5X
PSU: Be quiet Dark Power Pro 11 850W 80 Plus Platinum
Case: NZXT H440 White
Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING
CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H105 Extreme
Wireless-N PCIe Adapter: ASUS PCE-N15 300Mbps
M.2: Samsung PM961 256GB M.2 NVME
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 3TB HDD

With my monitors being ROG Strix XG32VQR, 32 inch (2560x1440), 144Hz x2.

Just wanted to ask before I possible get one.

Solution
Hey there

Your spec can run it fine. I wouldn't be worrying too much :) The 8700k is a great gaming chip now, and with an OC down the line for another few years most likely.

PSU is plenty for any new card.

I agree with @keith12 that you should be good with a 3080 no problem and you have a good power supply with the proper capacity, which is critical for any GPU upgrade.
