I'm currently running a I7-4770k OC@ 4.3 GHz. 32gig of ddr3 ram. And a 2080ti. And A ssd as a boot drive.

So I'm looking at a Chip upgrade. And a memory to ddr 4. And a new motherboard and a m.2 boot drive.

But I want to make sure I see a performance upgrade as well.

Was think about a Intel I7-9700K. And corasponding mother board. And memory. What are your thoughts on potential performance upgrade.

For what uses?

To be a worthwhile step up from a 4770K for gaming, I'd look to a minimum of an i5-9600K/KF on the Intel front and a Ryzen5 3600 from AMD.

Ryzen represents the better value (6c/12t vs 6c/6t with the i5 or 8/8 with the i7)
