Looking at APU laptop's and future carrizo APU's

I plan on getting a laptop with and A10 AMD APU for school work, minor production and some light gaming (games like tf2,civ 5,cs go,mount and blade, ect). I don't know very much about the performance of APU's in these areas and specifically what the performance will be with the new "Carrizo" APU laptop's coming out in mid 2015. Can anyone tell me the ups and downs of mobile APU's and if you would recommend them?

The best AMD mobile APU is about as strong as an R7 240. It isn't super powerful, but it should easily run any game at 720p, and older games in 1080p.

However if the rumors are true Carrizo will be around 50% stronger or more. If you can wait till the second half of this year I would. By then Carrizo will be out.

The plan for me is to wait for carrizo and be able to play light games @ 1080p
