It looks like my Samsung from Singapore finally died, so I'm once again in the market for a Monitor... make that two. I have a 21" acer that still works, but I'm tired of the mix 'n match look.

I was looking at http://www.amazon.com/BenQ-RL2455HM-24-Inch-Console-Monitor/dp/B007HSKSMI/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1453220884&sr=1-1&keywords=gaming+monitor last night, as well as http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-VS248H-P-24-inch-Back-lit-Monitor/dp/B0058UUR6E/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1453221077&sr=1-1&keywords=asus+monitor+24%22 from ASUS.

My preference was to stay under $200 each as I've only been in my new house for a month and issues continue to pop up with it. I play Battlefield 4, Fallout 4, Diablo 3, and a lot of stuff in between. My build is linked in my sig below. I'm thinking 24" is best as that's what I'm using at work and seems plenty big but a few clanmates have said go for 27" if they will fit on my desk. ASUS that was linked is about 188$ each after the rebate, so that would be plausable, but I've fallen behind on my monitor game over the last few months. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I'd like to get some new ones ordered in the next 48 hours to have for the weekend.

Monitors are very personal choices, and there's too many to keep track of, so I find giving specific recommendations is usually fairly hard.

That being said, note that both of the monitors you list are TN panels. This means they will be generally faster, at the cost of some color performance. If you'd prefer to have better color accuracy, even if you get a few more milliseconds of lag, then try to look for an IPS panel, although these tend to be a bit more expensive.

I personally would only 27" with a 1440p panel. Your GPU is more than powerful enough for such a monitor, but very few of them are under $200. I'd stick to a smaller size 1080p monitor if you must have it under $200.

IMHO, you have spent a lot of money on your GPU and the rest of your PC. Why would you hook it up to a budget monitor?
I have a Viewsonic IPS 27" 1440p panel, and the contrast, detail and colour balance are fantastic, and the colour doesn't change at all if you look at the screen from a different angle.
Serious gamers would get a monitor with a really fast refresh rate to match the fps of your GPU

The PC was built almost a year ago now and I just moved into a new house. With the house, I've already had to replace a broken fridge and parts for a water heater as well as now needing to properly seal basement windows that appear to have never been sealed. So while I'd love something really nice (obviously) I don't think I really have the budget for it. Even if I wanted to buy one monitor now and then another one in a few months, I don't know that I want to spend 300$ for each monitor.

Wow - new houses cost soooo much money to sort out.
Suggest you get a cheap monitor on ebay to tide you over while you get your finances sorted, then buy a quality monitor to match your PC when you can.
