Time to upgrading from my 7 years old AOC 2436VW 24" 1080p (2009 model) to bigger monitor and new "EyeCare" technology or something like that. My eyesight is wearing, and old (even wears my eyeglasses, but not always helpful). [sighs] Anyway, I need a new monitor with lot of new features and easily my eyes. My eyes are very important!!! My budget is $200 to $250.

27" and 1080p don't really go well together...

27" and 1080p don't really go well together? Really? I worries that 1440p too small to see on screen. My view distance to my 24" monitor is 40" long. I hardly see on my screen on that distance, if move it closer, then my eyes hurt for short tern. I wears my new glasses, but not helpfully.

Any suggest to smooth my problem?

1920x1080 at 27" means the pixels are quite large. I don't wear glasses (yet) but I put up with that setup for years and I can tell you it caused eye strain. Reading was not comfortable you could actually see the dithering of the text.

Higher resolution might actually be better for you, even 4K. You could then run the screen scaled in Windows or at a lower resolution. You would gain the size without losing detail, maybe. (That is a terrible way to explain it, but maybe you know what I mean) 1920x1080 on 4K looks pretty decent on some monitors so your gaming wouldn't be effected that much.
