The memory is horribly overpriced and the PSU quality isn't really something I would pick for a $1000 build. If you want RGB and with your now $1000 budget I would go this route.

For budget overall build i would recommend this build:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DWGg6s
It should do you all fine for gaming you should be able to get 100fps+ on most AAA games on high on 1080p and 60fps+ on 1440p
For editing 6 cores and 12 threads should fly you through your work especially if you grab that hyper T2 for overclocking paired with 3000mhz 16gb 2x8 it should fly ypu through video editing and photo editing

Here's my take on your new $1000 build:

Your paying way so much for the case its not worth and for 1000$ you can go with an rtx 2060 and i5 9600k which is way better than what you just do

The PC is not for me. I tailored it to the OP. He added $46 worth of RGB fans to his build plus Trident Z Royal RAM at $186. He obviously wants some RGB bling. No build has a better GPU than the 1660ti that I included. Some people are willing to give up some performance for a nicer presentation. It's a beautiful build which I think the OP might like.

Well I would never recommend adding that much rgb for the loss of performance I think its deffinetilly enough just to add rgb strips to the case but I guess Oh wel if its what the OP wants then I guess sure but its a bad decission

Rather than go with a cheaper case and add RGB fans and LED strips to it, I chose a case with the fans already included. The RAM is matching (Corsair) so there may be some coordination between the case fans and the RAM LED's. With all the CPU's at stock, this is the fastest CPU proposed. Not everybody wants the best performing tin can on the block. It was neither an accident nor an uninformed build, but was tailored specifically to match what I perceived as the OP's wants. Anyway, choice is good. He has a lot of nice proposals and can choose or mix and match between them. :)

You could literally get the same rgb for 60$ cheaper... your paying over 150$ for just the case that is no no no good choice an h500i for 75$ with 5 rgb fans for 30$ and led strip 13$ total 128$ way cheaper and more customizable

H100i case $96.53 + 5 cheap LED fans w/ LED strip $43 = $139.53 versus

Beautiful Spec Omega case with incorporated designer LED strip, two nice $30 each addressable RGB fans with lighting node pro control = $145

Why not different strokes for different folks? Choice is good!

Well, it seems like the OP has vanished during this minor skirmish!

Well with the fans and strips you will spend 180$ at just the case I mean that I what I call throwing money but if that what the OP then I guess he can do it but for 800$ its just stupid to pay 180$ just for the case

I would go Q300L TUF Edition with some rgb fans on any budget build and i bet it actually has better airflow than the spec-omega due to the better shape

Dont get me wrong the spec-omega is a very cool case which looks awesome but for a budget build its awful and its just throwing your money for just the shape here is where I would say there is better for price which looks decent and if you have a larger budget then there are way better high end cases and even mid end cases which are better

No, the two fans are included with the case, so its $145 total with the two HD120 PWM fans versus $139.53 for the H100i plus the 5 cheap LED fans and strip. Much nicer presentation, I think, for the extra $5.

Just as you like but your putting way too much on the case for an 800$ build this is no 1000$+ build my friend...

But if thats what the OP wants the go with it..
