I have a GTX 1080 and I’m looking for a good gaming monitor and a lot of what I’ve found look very similar. I’m not sure if G-Sync is necessary, but I’ve decided to look for a monitor with G-Sync.

The two selections I’ve narrowed it down to so far are the ASUS ROG Swift PG27VQ and the Acer Predator XB271HUA. They look practically identical but I’m just confused by what monitor to get. Price isn’t a massive issue but obviously I don’t want to buy something that’s $1000 and I can actually get something just as good for $600.

Thanks in advance

That was a question I answered yesterday that seems to also be a solution for you as well. Now I'm making people share answers? I get lazy sometimes. But in all seriousness That seems to be a reasonably priced G-sync compatible monitor. Most are a LOT more. Any questions about why are welcomed. Now I'll take a look at Asus's options and update this in a bit.

Looks like the one I offered is still the one I recommend. The Rog monitor would be better served by a 1080 Ti. The Predator looks more in line with the 1080 but its features look to be very similar to the Dell I suggested and the Dell is less expensive. They both have TN panels, G-sync, 1440p resolution and 144Hz refresh rates.
