Hey how's it going everyone.
I'm looking to buy a new laptop for coding when I'm not home to use my desktop. I'd like a 2 in 1 for the reason of being able to write and draw simple sketches.
I've been looking around a lot just feeling really indecisive so hoping to get some opinions.

Here is a list of stuff I would like
Screen 14-15.6, I think a 13.3 might feel too small though at school I could probably plug into the monitor that is there
16GB RAM ( I want this PC to last me a long time)
256 - 512 SSD leaning towards 512 since most 2 in 1 don't seem to upgrade
Battery life preferably 8+ hours
Thunderbolt 3
back lit keyboard

My price range is about $1000, though I would be willing to bump it up to make the lifetime of my laptop longer.
I would prefer to buy from Amazon or Newegg

Thanks, I really appreciate the help!

I don't think there is any 15.6 inch laptop in the world that can run for 8+ hours.

Even the best is 10 to 12 hours.
Microsoft Surface book 2 claims up to 17 hours of video playback but it's expensive.

Thunderbolt-3, you can get in Dell XPS 13 9370. That's your best bet. Probably the best performing ultrabook and comes superior audio and cooling system.

It's not a 2 in 1 but a true ultrabook.

If you really need a 2 in 1, check out the Lenovo Yoga series. They are decent enough and not too expensive. Thunderbolt-3 may or may not be available.
