Looking for a 4k editing build BUDGET: 800-1000 USD

I need a build that could edit and render 4k videos, which includes windows 10. Primarly using Da Vinci resolve for editing, and will be playing games like overwatch and fortnite at 1080p. This will be my first build as well.

I will prefer water cooling but air cooling can do as well as long as i can overclock and keep the temps low even under load. I want this build to be in an itx case.

also, the motherboard is supposed to have ac wifi, because i hate wired connections

cpu should preferably be a ryzen 5 1600 or ryzen 7

Also, can you tell me if this monitor is ok, or i need a better one in the same price range
(I dont need a 4k monitor, since i will be viewing videos in my 4k TV)

You can probably shave a few bucks off on some of the items, like the corsair PSU was recently on sale for $35, and that cooler was also on sale for a similiar price. If you watch Newegg's, amazon and pcpartspicker.com, you'll find some decent deals over the next month or so, so that total can come down.

I would definitely go with win Pro and not home
I selected that CPU because a) it has 6 cores, which should give you some processing (rendering) advantage, plus b) it comes with an integral graphics processor so you can survive without a Graphics card until you have more funds available, c) it's tdp is 65 watts so it'll be easy to cool as well as eficient and d) Turbo boost boosts it's clock speed to 4.60 GHz, and clock speed is as important as core count.
I selected that Corsair PSU because it gives you the head room to add a decent graphics card (the 1080s are now drawing 250 watts by themselves.

i included two SSDs as you'll need one to place the video file that you're going to render, to place it on it, and then a 2nd SSD to render the file to - rendering a file back to the same SSD will slow things down considerably.

Any less of a CPU and you'll regret it every time you render a decent size 4k video
Ram could stand to be increased to 32GB, but it might be smarter to wait till memory prices come back down - they're nearly double what i paid 2 years ago

What? You cannot pair an 8700 with a Z270. Why a DVD drive? Does he need it?

Above 1k, but allows for slight OC. Includes OS, but if you do not mind a Watermark, you can download the OS from Microsoft and not activate it, saving yourself money. Has a 1060 for 1080 Gaming. No monitor included.

AS I stated above, the cpu comes with integral graphics processor, and it's good for 4k @60Hz - https://ark.intel.com/products/126686/Intel-Core-i7-8700-Processor-12M-Cache-up-to-4_60-GHz

when i have more than one file to render at a time, i've used my computer with an intel i7-4790 (4 cores) to render 4k files using it's own integral graphics processor. What i notice is it's slower than the rig in my signature, with 8 cores. But that cpu i picked will overclock on turbo boost to 4.60, which will be a major factor, especially with 6 cores. When you've got more funds available, at a later date, you can add a GPU - that was also why i sized the PSU at 550 watts, to allow for the addtional current draw

HERE'S A screen capture on the 4790 rig, rendering a 36 GB blu-ray file, using handbrake

notice in the bottom right hand corner, the real temp Green minimized window showing load at 99.5%, then up at the bottom of the HandBrake window, showing. at the bottom, showing 11.xx minutes remaining with 16.xx minutes elapsed - total of 28 minutes for that 36 gb file

and that 4790 is only running 4.00 GHz and 4 cores, and using the integral graphics processor
6 cores on that 8700 with a 4.60 GHz, that total time would be down to 20-22 minutes
plus give you some future proofing. The point being that clock speed is important

sorry, but the 3.80 GHz of the AMD cpu is why i've stayed away from them
