Looking for a Better Way of Cooling My Tower

Hello, forum people. I have an issue that's been bugging me for a bit now. Recently I moved my setup to another desk, and where I placed the tower would have actually made it be able to circulate air better. But now, whenever I play a game and everything kicks on, it warms up a lot under my desk, my legs are toasty. Even if I stop, if I walk out and back into my room, the entire room is a few degrees warmer than the rest of the house. Currently for cooling I have a 212 EVO and two little case fans that pull air in from the front and out the back. I tried my best with cord management, but the Xigmatek Recon doesn't like to cooperate much. I thought possibly switching the 212 with an H55 water cooler might help, though no overclocks are on my 8320. I also have a 970 card with its stock cooling on it. Any suggestions as to how I can get this to stop a little?

I have a h55, and it works great. It's pretty much the equivalent of the much vaunted CoolerMaster hyper212 EVO, as far as cpu cooling ability goes.

If you can mount a h55, you can mount any 120mm rad, like h60i, h80i etc. If you do opt for a clc, I personally prefer the Asetek design pumps, the round ones. The square CoolIT designs, I've found, are often far noisier.

My h55 works well enough that a i5-3570k OC @4.3GHz idles at 32-33°C and prime95 v26.6 small fft test tops out at 70°C after 1 hr test. Gaming loads I see 45-55 °C depending on game.

With a different style of cooler, you can use different exhausts. Running a clc, there's absolutely no reason for a rear exhaust when top exhaust ports are accessible, so for you, you could use a h80i gtx or h100i, whatever fits your case. This'll help keep the cpu running at same/lower temps, but exhausts the heat out the top of the case, not the rear, so the only heat your toes see is exhaust from the psu. This'll also free up the rear exhaust fan for use as front intake.

I would certainly consider a better cooler like that, but this crap case doesn't have any spots on the top for fans, only one in the back, front, and the panel door which I wouldn't want to use at all. Wish I was paying more attention when shopping. That's why the H55 seemed nice.
