Hello,

I'm looking to replace my old 22" VA LED monitor, and I wonder if my ideal monitor does exist. I want it for different purposes: lot of text work (wrtiting in Excel and Word and websurfing) but also some photo editing and gaming.

I was thinking in 1080p (just have a GTX 1060 3GB), IPS, decent response time, and if possible, at 75Hz.

About the size, I have read that text is not displayed well in 27" and 1080p, while others say that there is no problem. I sit at 24 inchs more or less right now, but maybe with a bigger screen I can sit farther.

However, my budget is pretty limited, under 200 EUR (I'm from Spain), so I suppose that the 27" option is almost discarded... Which leads me to another question: it is worth upgrading from a 22" VA to a 24" or 25" IPS?

Sure, you would be surprised how much area increase that really is. And IPS over TN will make the colors a lot nicer.

Well this looks like a winner:

This might be a pricing error. But I don't recommend a 1920x1080 27" panel, the resolution is too low for the size and you will be able to see the pixels. It is okay for gaming and multimedia, but bad for reading and general browsing.

Thanks your your answer. That LG looks certainly a winner, but it doesn't have another feature that I would like to have... Flickr Free or some similar technology to reduce eye strain. I don't know if it is really usefull or just marketing, but my current Benq does have it and I feel that I can stay more time working without get tired eyes.

I actually prefer this feature above the 75Hz refresh rate.

I know I'm asking for many things... But it couldn't hurt to give it a try.
