Hello,
I'm building a new system and I'm trying to find a good quality mid tower ATX case without windows or fancy designs. I need something simple and elegant that works well and allows for all the functionality a PC ought to have (optical drive, 3.5" bay, front USB ports, etc).
It seems now that pretty much every case I look at MUST have a window or hideous fan mount on the side panel and does not have a 5.25" bay - or they're just so dang stream-lined that even though they do have a 5.25" bay, adding a drive to them just makes it an eyesore. Additionally, the build quality of some of these cases just seems very poor.
I really couldn't care less about what the inside of my computer looks like. My eyes are on the screen, not the case. Plus there's not even anything fun to look at. The only moving parts you see are fans, and all they do is spin indefinitely in one direction.
Unfortunately my computer does currently fit under the umbrella of a "gaming pc" and even has liquid cooling for the CPU (h100i) and I had planned to just carry it over to the new system, so my options are probably limited to these less-than-desirable cases, but if air cooling would get me a case that fits my criteria, I would absolutely make the switch without hesitation since liquid cooling isn't even really necessary for what I do anyway.
Any help would be much appreciated.
