and was wanting to find a compatible cpu and would be grateful for any help

ps - would I be able to use amd cpus with this motherboard
pps - would I also be able to use a gtx 1060 with it and if so what one should I get the 3gb one or the 6gb one or is there something else youd recommend

The issue is your DDR3 RAM.You won't be able to get any of the Ryzen 3/5/7 CPUs as they use AM4 chipsets and those motherboards only support DDR4 RAM meaning that you'll have to go for Intel.
So after looking at Intel Mobos, I noticed that the most recent motherboard that still support DDR3 is at least 3 years old. Meaning that you're building an older rig here.

Let me know if you're open to the idea of either upgrading your budget or going for a more recent build with lower specs. If you still want to keep your DDR3 RAMs, I could still find you a good recommendation for that.

I would personally recommend on switching completely to DDR4 with a CPU, Mobo, RAM combo that would be good for you like this one:

So that motherboard is for Intel only. Keep in mind that AMD and Intel CPUs use different chipsets so there are 0 motherboards out there that can support both.

I's a decent choice and according to the manufacturer's QVL list, the best CPU that you can buy that's supported is the i7-4790K
Now that's a 4th geberation Intel CPU.

To be honest, at 110£, you can find a better motherboard that can support 7th generation CPU and above, which I would recommend as their newer and better, and you will be able to keep it for longer before changing.

For the GTX 1060, I would definitely recommend the 6Gb. That extra VRAM is very good. To put it into perspective, I would rather go for a 1060 6Gb than a 1070 4Gb (although I think they don't make those).

If you need help chosing a CPU/Mobo combo, what's your budget? Maybe I can recommend a Ryzen/Intel combo and you can pick your favorite. My personal choice would be Ryzen though. They're cheaper than they're Intel Kabylake counterparts, offef 3 years warranty instead of 1 year for Intel and also offer a free CPU cooler.

hi mate my budget is around 300 if you wouldent mind helping me what would you suggest as a good motherboard and cpu
I need it to be ddr3 as ive already bought ram that im going to use and any help would be helpful thank you
