looking for a computer build to be used for 3D art

Hi all,

I'm looking for a good computer build that would maximize the performance of anything related to 3D art and slight video editing (I need to be able to render and work with high performance). I use, 3Ds max, Maya, Photoshop, and some video editing software like Nuke and Premier.

Keep in mind that I am currently a student working with a maxed out, off the shelf macbook pro (2,7 GHz i7, 16 Gb ram) but i'm looking for something that would maximize my workflow and lower wait time, heat, and performance capping, especially with larger projects.

Budget: 2500$ maximum
