I have a Corsair Spec-01 case as well as an i5 4690k. The height limit for the case is a measley 150mm which means I cannot fit the Hyper 212 evo (159mm).

I need a recommendation for a good cooler which is around the same price as the hyper 212 evo, can keep it cool at 4.5Ghz and obviously is less than 150mm in height.

I will also have a SLI configuration at some point so there will be an extra graphics card in there.

Agreed. I have a Vivo Titan case which has turned out to be an extremely good case. It easily swallowed my 1080Ti with inches to spare. It has plenty of fans and everything stays relatively cool. I use the 212 Evo with my 4690K

. The Cryorig H7 is slightly better than the 212 Evo and it's shorter. 147mm I think. Okay, 145mm. I added an extra fan to my 212 so it can stay as cool as possible. The H7 did run around $35 here in the US but it has came down to $28 recently. It's back up to $35. Still that's a very worthwhile investment to keep your 4690K nice and happy. I'd run Intel's Burntest when you have a new cooler installed. Set it to Maximum stress and 10 runs. My 4690K got up to 80C when I ran it. Ambient temp was around 75.
