Looking for a cpu cooler

I plan on purchasing an Intel Core i3-6100 3M 3.7 GHz processor along with an ASRock Z270 Extreme 4 motherboard, i’m on a tight budget and need a cooler for the cpu, any suggestions?

You can just use the stock intel cooler that comes with it assuming it's a retail version CPU.

Thank you for the feedback, but the listing does not specify whether or not it comes with a cooler so I would like to be on the safe side and buy a separate one.

it does come with a cooler all locked cpus come with box coolers 2nd why are you using a locked cpu with an unlocked chipset

also why don't you go for a ryzen processor you will have future upgradability that you wont have on this dead socket

Why pay dor a z270, especially if your budget is tight? Wouldn't a b360 and i3 8100 cost about the same and perrorm much better

LGA 1151 isn't a dead socket, plenty of high end Intel CPUs still use it such as the 7700k and 8700k which are extremely popular. But you are right about Ryzen, I think that OP should go with a Ryzen 1300X or spend a little more money and go with Ryzen 5
