Looking for a cpu upgrade

Hello... my spcs:
CPU:AMD Phenom II X4 940 (socket am2+)
RAM:8GB DDR2
Motherboard:MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO.LTD K9A2VM (MS-7501)
Grapich card: GTX 1050TI 4gb (DDR5)
Power supply is 400w ( could give more infor. if needed)
This motherboard supports am3 socket proccesors...do u have any suggestion for an upgrade if its even worth it....?

Personally I don’t think an upgrade based on AM3 is worth it, any gain is tiny. I guess this is for gaming. You are better off saving for a new cpu/motherboard/RAM platform.

yeah mostly for PUBG... i get arround 20-60 fps on 1080p.... sometimes i get some heavy fps drops thats why im looking for a suggestion if it is worth it but since the motherboard is really old guess its not then... 720p is fine 35-70

If your processor is the bottleneck, reducing the in-game resolution will not really help much.
AM3 platform is indeed already waay outdated
