Im looking for a card that will play Dragon Age: Inquisition (and other brand new games) in HD (1080p) resolution on high graphics settings. The cheaper, the better, but i can save up if there is an expensive one that truly eclipses a cheaper option. Ideally my price is 300-600 (CAD). Also, I prefer, vastly, AMD cards, but will "settle" for Nvidia if need be.

I was wondering what are the life expectancies for those two cards. Will they last for 2-3 years for example or will they become too old fast?

Thanks!!

I cannot say for certain, but we are at a time where console generation have changed and game spec may be increasing faster than expected. If you are that worried about future, I'd say, at least right now, wait for AMD's next gen card and nVidia's flagship 900 series card and make your decision then.

As of right now, the best price per performance value high end cards are those two, and 980 is the best single card at the moment, though it is not that much better than 970.
