Thanks Colif. I haven't had Experience installed in many years and I just remember there was something about updates included with it.

Above, I meant to say to read what algorithmbreaker said about the High Performance setting.

Yes, test your system several days and if you get any more BSODs, let us know. The restore point may include the old driver. If things are working OK and no more BSODs in the next few days, then create another restore point.

If Windows Update decides to automatically update your driver for you then you can turn off driver updates. I just checked and the settings are still there (things are changing alot in Windows these days). Anyway, this page will explain how to block Windows Update from downloading drivers...
Driver download: https://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/31944-nvidia-driver-38248/

How to install .CAB files: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/66346-install-cab-file-windows-10-a.html

I extracted the file with 7-zip and ran Setup.exe and it appeared like it was going to install. I don't have that graphics card so I can't fully install the driver and test it.

No guarantees if that's the right driver or not. If it isn't, reply back and we'll search more. Always backup your system before testing new (or old) drivers out.

Gardenman. I have already this file download and also I download another file . Both files show this is 8248 drivet but the problem 1 file size like 517mb which is for acer predator and now another driver which link you give me this is smaler like 352mb like this. My question is which one I have to installed. The bigger one or smaller one. And I need to know if I reset my pc did my window installed the driver which is coming with window version or I have to install after reset by manualy.. if I have to install manaualy then there is no benefit for reset pc because just I need the correct gpu driver.. sory I am a new user laptop just 4 months ago I buy. Which is you suggest to install driver.. the bigger file which I download yesterday size 517 mb or or the smaller one which you give me size 350mb.
Again sory for my bad english

Where did you download the bigger setup from? It's my guess that the driver from Microsoft includes less software (such as the Experience application) which would make it smaller. If you feel that you the larger file that you downloaded is from a safe site then you may want to try it, if you want the extra software installed. The extra software is usually unnecessary and most people don't use it. Also, we know the one from Microsoft is safe. As for compatibility with your system, I just don't know which one would be better for you. Both should be OK since they are Nvidia drivers, but I can't make any promises.

What type of "Reset" are you talking about? There are numerous types of reset. Some systems include what is known as a "Factory System Reset" which usually resets all software back to its original state, including Windows and all drivers. If the driver you are wanting to use is included with that then it would work. I highly suggest NOT doing this though, as it will reset everything and it's just unnecessary to reset the whole system just for a driver. If you are talking about a "Windows Reset" then that probably will not change the driver that you currently have installed (it will either remove the current driver or leave it as it is).

Personally, I wouldn't even consider a reset. Here is exactly what I would do:

1. Download DDU. This is a display driver uninstaller.
2. Download the driver from Microsoft and uncompress the driver to a folder.
3. Boot up into Safe Mode and run DDU to remove your current driver.
4. Boot back up into Normal mode and install the driver from Microsoft by running it's setup.

You can find more information about this from here:
http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2767677/perform-clean-install-video-card-drivers.html
which includes the links for DDU and how to boot up into Safe Mode.

Thank you s o much gardenman. I believe your suggestions is good. No need to factory setup only for drivers if everything work well.. this laptop only 5 month old and everything is working fine but 1 week ago when I playing game like gtav, codiw, there much more game. When.I playing game the game start lagging after 30 minute only for 1 or 2 seconds.. this is quit but only when.game is laging I am afraid maybe there is hardware problem. I check everything. Temp is mostly underload 75 or some time 80 for cpu.. I check my harddrive is good. I install crystalinfo disk and this says hd status good.. what you think what is the reason for game lagging. I check all game accept only assassin creed origin, games working fine accept only little lagging. but ac origin automaticly shut down after 10 minute without anything show.. I beleive you have better information about laptop.. could you please suggest me how I have to check my laptop health specily for gpu and cpu while I playing game and why this is lagging. Is this.is the driver problem or hardware problem. This laptop only 5 month and everthing is working fine accept only game lagging for some.seconds. again thanks for your time.

Have you tried installing the old driver first as I suggested above? If not, try that and post back with the results so we can know if that helped or not.

That's odd that your system has 8 GB of RAM when the page shows that it should have 16. https://www.acer.com/ac/en/AE/content/model/NX.GP9EM.026

Which power plan are you using?
Go to Settings / System / Power & Sleep and click on Additional Power Settings.

Download the latest driver for Your laptop:

Version 399.07

https://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/399.07/399.07-notebook-win10-64bit-international-whql-rp.exe

Disconnect internet, uninstall Nvidia drivers, including the profiles
Restart system after uninstallation.
Install the downloaded driver manually as clean installation.

Other performance tweaks:

Change the performance options under 'Advance System settings'.
Click on adjust for 'best performance'. You can check the 'Show thumbnails instead of icons', rest all to be unchecked.

And also make sure you are under the 'high performance' power plan under the power options. If not available, you can create a new profile as high performance.

The latest driver has fixed most lag issues in my experience.

Helo Garden Man, this l laptop have 3 type specification. some on 8gb and some on 16gb.
which one i have this is 8gb ram and 1050ti4gb. anyway as you suggest i need to install the old driver, when i go and install the driver which one i download manaualy 13.8248, on the installing my laptop screed going to blue bsod and on the below error show something like kernal and nvidia. this stuck at 0%. the i force shut down my pc and again on. window logged succefully but when i go to device manager then i check under the display adaptor only intel show, on the deivce manager i click show unhide device and i notes some device show with yellow color ? mark is apper. this device name,, bluetoot, display and sms, each one i uninstalled and i have to restart my pc but mistackly i shutdown. again power on system log in succefullly, again i go and i check on device manager, now this time nvidia 1050ti device show and i check with properites and this say, this device is working properly and driver status is showed which one installed 13.8248. but still nvidia control panel is missing. i updated this driver with the device manager option and succeccfully updated. after reboot again my system now this time nvidia control panel show. i run the game Assassin creed Origin and this game fine. no crash no fps drop only some area game lagging for 2 or 3 second but this is ok becuase when i have this driver 13.8248 is installed this lagg coming. i play this game up to 45 minute and game no crash and now fps drop. everthing is working fine same like before. with the updated driver which one i already updated Version 399.07 my game crash after 10 to 15 minute and poor fps. but with the old driver no game crash and now fps issue. i test only assassin creed origin and assassin creed black flag but nothing crash and no fps drop. now my question should i have to worry about this bsod with blue screen. after the playing game several time i reboot my system and shut down the again on to check maybe this error is coming again but thank God no blue screen no any error i recive. system working fast+gaming. what you think this is ok because my system is now working well or i have to remove this nvidia driver. Note: when i installed the nvidia driver i selcet custom install the i chose only display driver, 3d & Phyx. thanks again.

i already updated my driver as you suggest 399.07. after updated i am facing problem with my games. low fps and game crash. i check everything like max power option, clean install but unfortuntly not success that is why i go to install my old driver, with the old driver i am not facing any problem with my games now. sory for my bad and very weak english.

BSODs are not fun, I have had them a few times myself. I would not worry about the BSOD unless it begins to happen more often. If you start getting a BSOD every few days, or more often, then it becomes a problem and you should try to get more help on here with the BSOD. If it doesn't happen often then I personally wouldn't worry about it.

That's good. That is what I install also, only the driver and PhysX software. I don't install the 3D stuff but it's OK and won't hurt anything. I usually delete the C:\NVIDIA folder when done also, it's a temporary folder where the files are installed from.

So we can assume it's the latest NVIDIA driver that is giving you the most problems. NVIDIA are *known* to release buggy drivers all of the time. Only 1 out of every 4 or so drivers work out for me. The rest of them are too buggy. I don't update the drivers anymore unless I really need to. I also don't install software that auto-updates them (such as NVIDIA Experience). Windows may force an update on you though (through Windows Update) so watch out for that. I'm not sure if the setting to ignore driver updates from Windows Update works anymore or not but it might be worth looking into.

You may want to read what games123z said about the High Performance setting.

so that mean i have to test my laptop more then 10 days with playing games and if i not get in these day this bsod and games working that means this is ok. before installation driver i created restore point so in the future did this restore point helpful or no. thank you again.

@gardenman, Geforce experience doesn't auto update, it will tell you if there is a new driver but only once, its up to you to open the Geforce experience app and download drivers. I just ignore them now. If you have an old GPU then the newer drivers really aren't going to make it perform any better as they are aimed at the current cards.

Use older driver if it works for you and Win 10 doesn't block its install.

I recommend leaving this setting how it is unless you have problems with Windows updating your driver. https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/disable-automatic-driver-downloads-on-windows-10
