hi all,

i am searching for a fan controller, that is capable of running 6 fans, but with a difference, and im not even sure if such a thing exist.

here are the specs i would like...

ideally taking up 1 to 2 5 1/4 bays, capable of controlling 6 pwm fans, ideally with tempt sensors built in. now here is the tricky part, i want it to control the 6 fans speeds, but at the same time sending back pwm signals to the mobo of my choosing. this way i could have a happy mobo thinking the fans are running at 3k rpm, where as the fans are really doing nearler 1.3k rpm and saving my ears, but if the mobo detected that it needed more cooling, it could still do so, if that makes sence?

this is fore a system based on a dell 2900 poweredge server, so things like fanspeed wont work.

thanks for reading

quick update, i have fixed it :) and now have a nice quiet server in the corner of my room. what is the 'done thing' on this forum, should i add a post explaining how i fixed it, or leave it in case someone asks?
