If you have no limitations over money,
the i5 3570k and a 7950/7970/670/680 (best to bestest).
The AMD 8350/7950 is the more hybrid build, best of both worlds when it comes to multithreading and heavy gaming. But as I always say, a pure gamer will get the best -current- gaming performance from the setup above.
so i should go with i5 3570k and 7950?
you have a 8350 and 7950 . how is your gaming experience , with the new games like crysis 3, tomb raider and far cry 3? i hear these games like more cores.
My gaming experience is very acceptable. I can play Crysis 3 on Very High Quality, though everyone knowing how intense that game is, I settle for an average of 35-40 fps maxed out on a 1600x1080p 23" (4xmsaa). Knock it to High, I average 40-50.
Crysis 3 during gameplay will "idle" to 4 cores when nothing intensive is going on.
Right as I start into an intense scene, load can shoot up to 50%, and I can see at least 5-7 cores being accessed at one time. So yes, I would say Crysis 3 is one of those games that takes advantage of 4+ cores.
Far Cry 3 I average around 50+ on that game, spikes hitting low 40s.
Don't play Tomb Raider, but it's recommended requirements do look quite low (i5 750/gtx480). In terms of intensity, that game I imagine is quite low and my computer would play it without a hiccup. You had me curious for that game, so i searched for the bench.

All around, I got the 8350 because I'm a code compiler and video editor and a heavy gamer. But I'm VERY interested also to see if more games will take advantage of 6/8 cores and optimize it in the near future.
But yes, i'd go i5, setting yourself for an easy pathway to an i7 in the future.
