Looking for a gaming keyboard with the option to illuminate, just the wasd keys (or surrounding areas). I like the Razer Lycosa, but there are a few ugly things that i've heard from people about the keyboard, such as the rubber on the keys easily being rubbed off, unstable keyboard functionalitys/behaviours, and a few other stuffs.

So basically, a gaming keyboard with the option to illuminate the wasd keys (and/or its surround areas), one that doesnt carry all the problems the Razer Lycosa had, and for $50 and under.

I've found the Steelseries Apex on Ebay for $50 bucks. That's my most likely candidate if I can't find a more suitable keyboard. Preferably, I want a keyboard with less keys but if I can't, then it can't be helped.

I hate the kind of keys the Deathstalker has setup (really dislike those types of keyboard). Love the CM storm quickfire tk you've mention. Checked out a video review and it has the feature I wanted and it looks pretty damn nice. But yes its much more expensive. Appreciate the response. Honestly, I want a decent keyboard that I can hopefully get around $50 bucks. Should change the title of the thread.

I dont know about selective backlighting of WASD keys like you mentioned, but the Roccat Isku (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Roccat-ROC-12-722-Illuminated-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B00A13WB62) and Isku FX (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Roccat-ROC-12-902-Isku-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B00APP2256) are badass keyboards. They look similar to the Lycosa and are similar in price.

If you can stretch your budget and want mechanical keys there's also the superior Roccat Ryos: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Roccat-Mechanical-Layout-Keyboard-Illumination/dp/B00FEDP99U

The Isku keyboards you've mentioned are designed for MMO type games, I'm mostly a casual singer player gamer. Something along the lines of Far Cry 4, Witcher 3, RTS strategy games. The Ryos looks interesting and it looks like it has the feature I want, actually much much more, seeing as how it has individual key illumination. Also I prefer a keyboard with a shorter wrist rest or one that is detachable. Sorry for $100 budget I've put on the title thread, it should've been around $50 and under, I've updated it. Appreciate the response.

Which one are you talking about the shine 2? Ducky's are nice but damn expensive.....and there's not alot of website that sells them. I assume you're talking about shine 2 or lower (which i've never seen) because the 3 and 4 is $100 and up. Appreciate your response. Will look into it.
