Looking for a gaming laptop around $1500

I am looking for a gaming laptop. I currently have a Macbook Pro from 2010 which isn't performing very well anymore. The only games that I play are WoW and LoL, so I am not going to need anything ridiculous. I am looking to spend around $1500.

I do not know much about gaming laptops so I am unsure about what brands are good and such things.

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

With $1,500 to spend you can pretty much pick and choose among dozens of capable machines. And if you're not an all-out hard-core gamer, the field gets even bigger. But let's keep it simple:

The MSI and Gigabyte line-ups are, generally speaking, the preferred choices of gamers and they are usually fitted with all manner of built-in gaming-related features, starting with the UEFI. Other popular brands include the ASUS RoG and Alienware lines which feature some attractive case designs. All fall within a few GBs of each other in terms of speed and storage. Here are 3 machines to consider:

- I've included the ASUS Zenbook simply because it clearly tries to pass itself off as a Macbook...

These machines will play WoW and LoL-style games effortlessly and also high-to-nextgen games like Tomb Raider and GTA V, should you decide to expand your gaming horizon. The Lenovo will struggle with the latter type, but it's essentially a powerful multitasker that will also play most games.

Bear in mind, though, if you're coming from a Macbook, all these machines will look, shall we say, a bit crude by comparison. If you like Apple products, you'll probably need some time getting used to the peculiar 'gaming' design.
