Looking for a gaming monitor

Hey guys, I'm looking for a new gaming monitor to my PC.
Since I'm not really know much about monitors and my knowledge is pretty basic about monitors I think I know what I'm looking but not sure if this is really what I need and want so I would like to get some suggestions.
First please note that in my country I don't have too much options but I do have a few.
First I'll tell you what I want, and then please let me know if it's really necessary.
Since I'm only playing games most of the time with this PC I'm looking for a monitor for gaming.
And I think I want a 144Hz monitor and greater than 22"
I found this one: Asus VG248QE (Newegg link)
The only thing that do bother me about this Display is that display is TN, and not IPS.
Now my questions are, is this display worth it?
Do I really need IPS display for gaming?
one thing is for sure, I do want to enjoy 144Hz display, if you have another suggestion about another display that can satisfies me it will be great, but I'm pretty sure that it will cost way higher than this one.
BTW this specific display costs way more than its actual price on newegg.

Hey N-CountryFace, first thank you very much for helping.
I found this Display in my country with about the same price to the Asus VG248QE.
Is the AOC display is worthier than the Asus VG248QE?
I don't really know much about AOC, but I don't sure if I like this brand, not sure if they're good and reliable.
I really would like to hear more about this monitor in compare to the ASUS VG248QE.
