Looking for a gaming upgrade

So i have a amd A8-5500 at the moment. I recently bought a gtx 970 and games look amazing, but no matter the quality i set, the fps are always the same. I play overwatch at 50 fps on every setting so im sure its because of my cpu and motherboard. Im looking to spend around 250 dlls on new cpu and mobo, since the 970 was a very expensive purchase. Any help i will infinitely apprettiate
