Looking for a general all purpose laptop.

I want to buy an all purpose laptop for home use just for surfing, emailing, a little bit of gaming, some word processing, YouTube etc. and my budget is between 300-600. I want good speed ( not too slow ), and OK memory. Processing speed must be good. What should I go for. Also, please suggest should I go for 2 in 1 or just a plain laptop. I am flexible in this.

I'd recommend minimum:
i3 Processor
6gb Ram
200gb HDD


2 in 1 is your preference. its like a heated seat option in a car. you dont need it, but its nice.

What about Celeron Pentium Processor or AMD series.. Actually I was looking online and most I browsed through were in this spec..

Also, which brand should I go for.. Dell, HP or ......

Dell insperon series laptop might work if u don't do heavy games. I5 with 8 gigs should do fine. 3years with lower end model with I3 doing exactly what you are asking with few complaints. External wireless mouse is a great addition.


Get the extra idiot warranty. In case u drop it.

They're nice, I have a 2 in 1 and it's pretty awsome. However it's not for everyone.
