Looking for a good 1080p gaming monitor

i have no clue about anything to do with monitors im looking for a gaming monitor for around 200$ give or take 50$ . preferred resolution is 1080p right now i have a shity hp pavilion mx703

I'm no expert on monitors, but the Dell monitor mentioned above "only" seems to have 5ms response time. If you're really serious about emphasizing gaming use, a 2ms monitor might be better. On Newegg there are plenty for approximately $200, including:

i have just looked at the dell u2311h or the 2211h depends how much money i can get they look like very nice monitors anyone with experience ? anyothers maybe>?
