Hi, I'm not too great at gaming pcs and stuff but I'd like to get one to at least be able to run games like Call Of Duty, PlayerUnknowns BattleGrounds, and possibly even GTA 5 on at least decent graphics settings. I played the beta on the HP Envy with a version of Core i5 but I'm not sure which one, it wasn't a too bad at all experience but the whole game may be a different story. The HP OMEN has Core i7-7700HQ and a choice of different graphics cards, if someone could go through this customization and find me something that is in between the minimum and recommended requirements for some of the games listed above that'd be awesome.
I'm not looking to get anymore storage than 1TB or stuff like that that won;'t necessarily affect my gaming experience (I can always buy an external hard drive,)
so just mainly focus on the graphics and processor and other things to help me fulfill what I'm looking for. Thanks!

Given you background details, I would add the following:

- GTX 1050 2GB for $30 (it says 4GB but I'm pretty sure that's a typo - that would be the $170 1050 Ti card)

- 256GB M.2 SSD for $100.

Total: $980.

I'm confident that this setup will meet your gaming requirements, and you can upgrade RAM later on. 256GBs of storage won't hold more than a couple of modern games (GTA V alone requires some 70GBs), so the moment you have some spare cash get an external HDD. But the difference between using an SSD and a mechanical HDD as a system disk is so glaringly in favour of the SSD it's almost ridiculous.

Happy gaming,
GreyCatz.
