Looking For A Good Gaming Motherboard

Hey guys, I am looking for a motherboard for my first gaming PC. I am not looking to overclock, I am just going to stay with the stock speeds for the CPU and everything else. I don't really know what brands are good, but I would like a motherboard from a good brand with a high rating and good quality. I don't want to spend too much on the motherboard, I don't need any of those extra features like overclocking compatibility, so I would like to stay under $100 or less if possible. I am looking to get an Intel Core i5 processor, 2x4GB sticks of RAM DDR3-1600, GTX 970 graphics card, if you need any more specs, I can provide, just ask, thanks guys

What specific i5 are you after?
If you dont plan to OC, look into getting a non-k model, or a xeon e3 1231V3.

I was looking into the Intel Core i5-4690 non k version.

At that point I would recommend a 4590 or a 4690k. The 4690 non k is a bit of a waste.

the i5-4690 is only $8 less than the 4690k on pcpartpicker.com, and what did you mean it was a waste?

Because for 8 dollars more you could have an unlocked processor, even if you dont want to now, that option becomes highly appealing as time goes on.

If you go for a K series, you want a Z97 chipset, so here you go:
