Looking for a good LED 120hz Monitor

I am looking to buy a 120hz LED monitor that can reproduce good colors and have great black colors and little to no bleed through. As far as panels and what brands to go with I am not sure, currently I have a 27" samsung LED which is having issues just recently bought it from sams club all it does is flicker non stop I need to find a monitor to replace the current POS one that I have, as far as the size goes I would prefer a 27" or two 24" led's what do you guys suggest is a good monitor here. Thanks.!

So what do I look for as far as response time goes and color ? I want a monitor that can produce good crisp sharp colors and as far as budget goes I honestly don't have one however I would like to spend around 450 for a monitor that is 24" and the 27" you sent are alright with pricing just want best bang for the buck deal, do i get two 24" or one 27" how would the 3d work on two 24"?

Also, be aware that these monitors with lightboost are not meant to be used with 100% brightness unless you are using 3D Vision. Normal use might be 30% brightness (it is with my monitor). If you have it set to 100% brightness, the bleeding would be bad, but it is not under normal brightness levels.

So I just got the monitor and I turned the brightness down to 13, everything else is left how it was, when I play Hitman Absolute I can see some bleed how should I have the colors set up while gaming to make black be black ?

Alright, I mean the bleed isn't horrible its just I'm comparing it with the samsung that I had and they both seem to be close, however the refresh rate and colors seem to be more accurate on the ASUS, then again thats why I bought the ASUS for is the refresh rate. Thanks for the help

Here are some thoughts and inputs about the ASUS 27" HE 3D monitor, my brightness is set at 30, and when watching a movie or when the monitor goes to sleep the bleed is noticeable for a $500 monitor I would have imagined it would be a lot less I guess I was wrong. The nice things are the refresh rate and colors do make it very enjoyable to work on and read the net, as far as watching movies goes its not that great because of that bleed, it really pisses me of. Everything else is great no dead pixels good color easy to set up and very adjustable.

A couple notes, the VG278HE is not 120hz, it's 144hz.

It also has much better response times and capable of 3D Vision, so no, that Overlord Tempest is not superior in all ways. The other disadvantage, sort of, is that it is hard to take advantage of 120hz with a large resolution, it requires much more GPU horsepower to achieve the smoothness you seek when going for 120hz.

I'm not saying it is a bad monitor, just giving a little bit more of the truth to the conversation.

Make sure you get a supported LightBoost monitor!!
LightBoost makes a 120 Hz look like a CRT !!!!!
Those monitors are much better than expected for 2D gaming if you force-enable LightBoost during 2D mode:

Obviously you like your Overlord Tempest. I'm not trying to convince you of your choice, but this is for someone else. I have seen a few people who have both a 1440p overclocked IPS panel at 100hz+ (Mostly catleaps), and various 120hz TN panels, such as the Samsung 750. Most of them (from small sample) found they preferred the 1080p TN 120hz monitors for gaming.

Latency, response times/ghosting and lower FPS have an adverse effect on you when you game.

Obviously this is an opinion. Not a fact.

Edit: I personally like 3D Vision a lot, so that is another reason to stick with the 1080p 120hz TN panels.
