Thanks for taking the time for helping me out! I am currently using a 24" ASUS VS248H-P Monitor and I am looking for a 24 inch monitor that would be great for PC and Console. I am playing Ark Survival Evolved a lot on Console and I play a wide variety on PC from MMORPG's to FPS. Looking to spend $250, really looking for the best monitor around that price range.

144hz, 1ms, 1080p, Display port, HDMI, DVI, Adjustable stand.

I have the same monitor and love it. For this price, it is the best you can get. I bought the refurbished version for $50 less and it arrived with no issues, no marks and all the factory plastic was on it. If you would rather go for a new one it is $259 rather than $209.

I also have this monitor, and it is great. The color representation is sub par on it for sure, so to make up for it, I run dual monitors with the ASUS and an Acer 25 inch 1440p IPS panel:

http://www.amazon.com/Acer-G257HU-smidpx-25-Inch-Widescreen/dp/B00QS0AKVK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1453398942&sr=8-1&keywords=acer+25+inch+1440p

If I had to choose between the 2, I would choose the IPS panel. Better resolution for PC gaming, most games will run around 60FPS with a GTX 970 so it will be perfect for that. With the ASUS 144hz monitor, you could probably do 1080p @ ~100fps, which is nice, but the clarity and color representation of the IPS takes the cake, in my opinion.

Definitely a matter or opinon and your performance. If you consistently achieve 120fps or greater and refresh rate and response time is key then go with the Asus. For me I play a lot of Csgo and other games that demand precise more event so the Asus is perfect for my needs. If those aren't the features you need then like tluley said go with an IPS and color representation.

Oh, the color representation on the Asus isn't terrible either the colors are still good, just not as great as a IPS pannel
