Hi everyone,

I am building a new computer and am looking for an appropriate power supply. I already picked all the other parts: Leru's build
I got confused about what is necessary, what is useful and what is just extra, so any advice on that would be very much appreciated.

I'd like to keep under £100 if possible, since my budget is already rather stretched. Modular would be nice, but performance of the PSU is more important to me.
And if anyone could explain to me what minimum wattage I should get I would be grateful.
Thanks in advance for your time. :)

Approximate Purchase Date: As soon as possible

Budget Range: £100

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming (atleast Skyrim at high settings), movies, internet surfing. other generic computer usage

Parts to Upgrade: PSU

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: amazon.co.uk, novatech.co.uk, uk.pcpartpicker.com

Location: Glasgow, Lanarkshire, UK

Overclocking:No

SLI or Crossfire: not planning on it right now

Additional Comments: in order from most to least importance: enough power, efficient, reliable, quiet, easy to install, good cable managment

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: new build

Thanks for your answer. Wouldn't 750W be overkill though? PCPartpicker gave me a needed wattage of 450 W, so 750W seems excessive.
I don't want to boost my energy bill too much if it's avoidable.

Nah it's good, you can go for the below PSU if you want but 750W is the sweet spot.

Power Supply: XFX XTR 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (£77.66 @ More Computers)
Total: £77.66
